CHURCH ATTENDANCE ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Sermon Topic today: “The Journey to the Promise” from Galatians 3:15-25. The purpose of the law is not to save us, but to lead us to the promised faith in Christ!
- Our worship service will start at 11:15AM
- Masks are recommended but optional. Feel free to keep wearing them if you prefer.
- We are having in-person Sabbath School at 10am. All children, including High School youth classes, will be meeting at church only. We have ONE English class taught in the church from 10am – 11am; all other Sabbath School classes are available on Zoom from 10am – 11am. Church will follow starting 11:15am.
- If you are ill or may have had close contact with someone who was sick, please stay home. If you went to church and felt sick after, please let Jason Goliath know so we can notify the church family.
GENERAL CHURCH ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Check out our NEW Church Website! If you haven’t yet, be sure to check out our church website at https://hinsdale.bsda.school. You can get all kinds of information like upcoming events, upcoming announcements, and many more!
- Church Children’s Choir Practice tomorrow, 04/16 at 3:30pm. Any young person up to the age of 18 are welcome to join. For more information, please contact Erika Campos or Pastor Rodney Balmes.
- Easter Sunrise tomorrow at Montrose Beach — open to ALL interested! Join us as we celebrate the resurrection of our King Jesus with a sunrise service! We will be on Montrose Harbor. From LSD exit “Montrose Dr” towards the lake and follow the road to the Harbor (to the right). Be sure to dress warmly, bring blankets and/or something to sit on. We will start meeting at 5:30am! Yes it’s early but you’ll be surprised how crowded it can get on the Lakefront. We will sing songs, read scripture and pray together as we watch the rising sun. See you then!
- Pathway to Health — April 17 – 21, 2022. Starting tomorrow, the event will be held in Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis IN. Please sign up online at pathwaytohealth.org and be sure to let Auntie Adeline Bautista know if you are planning on volunteering, so we can keep track of our church group in attendance.
- HAA Homecoming Weekend — April 22 – 24, 2022. Join us at Hinsdale Adventist Academy for the annual Homecoming Weekend! Programs start Friday night with vespers at 7pm. Jason Calvert (Class of ’99) will be the special guest speaker, and we will be honoring all classes that were missed during the pandemic. Saturday, we have church service at 11am. On Sunday, we have “Golf, Gather and Give” at TopGolf in Naperville. For more info, please email info@haa.org. See you there alumni!

IL CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENTS
- VBS Training TODAY from 3pm – 6pm! Mark your calendars for Jasper Canyon VBS Training! This training is open for all local church VBS directors, Children’s Ministry directors and volunteers! - Pathfinder Spring Camporee on April 29! Can you believe we have not had a Pathfinder Spring Camporee since 2018?! We are all back and better than ever, so make sure your club locks in their spot! Registration opens in Ultracamp on March 21st!
- Summer Camp 2022. It’s time to round up the family for Summer Camp 2022! Registration for Youth Camps and Family Camp is now open in Ultracamp. Don’t forget you can save $20 off each reservation if you register by April 24th. Let’s Summer together! #theGreatAdventure
- Mission Akita — Save the date for May 11 – 18, 2022! Each year, the Summer Camp and Retreat Center depend on faithful volunteers to help prepare for the Summer Camp season. Our 2022 Mission Akita experience is fast approaching, and we invite you to join us! - IL Conference Family Camp Meeting at Camp Akita — July 27 – 30, 2022. The theme will be “Following Jesus Faithfully”. Following Jesus faithfully means we obey the words of Jesus and accept his invitation when He says: “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19). Take advantage of this time to step away from the daily distractions and pressures; instead, enjoy community, outdoor activities, and worship. You can plan to stay for the entirety of the meeting or for a portion. If you choose to stay overnight, lodging is available through Akita Cabins, nearby hotels, or bringing your tent / RV. - Help for Ukranian Refugees. The small SDA Church in Poland is working tirelessly to minister to people in need. in order to support the efforts of our brethren in the Polish Union, the IL Conference is providing the opportunity for our members to donate a tax-deductible gift using the Adventist Giving online platform. 100% of donations declared as “Ukraine – Poland” in section “Conference / Union” will be transferred to the Polish Union for support of their humanitarian efforts.
