• Manna Ministry — Next Delivery is August 20th!
  • We are asking everyone to get involved with our Manna ministry! Our next delivery is August 20th, and we need volunteers to help pack the food and/or help distribute the food. Questions? Contact Grace Goliath or Carlynn O’Brien.
  • We invite you to also donate non-perishable foods and/or items, as well as make monetary donations. We currently have minimal funds, especially as we get closer to Thanksgiving, so we appreciate any amount you can give.

  • The Downers Grove Church will be hosting an afternoon music program on August 20.  All are welcome to attend and enjoy listening to a variety of musical talent as we praise the Lord in song.
    
• Hispanic Ministries is Hosting a Women’s Retreat on August 20th
  • This year’s theme is “Todo es Posible.” It will be a day of motivation and personal growth. The women’s Retreat will be held on August 20th from 9:30am to 5:30 pm at the Yellow Box Convention Center in Naperville, IL. You can find more information on the Illinois conference page.   • Registration is now open for our Southern Lay Training! • Pathway to Health – Need Volunteers to unload Equipment for week of 08/22
  • Coming out of the successful medical ministry event in Indianapolis, Pathway to Health has secured new, permanent warehouse space in Illinois to store medical and event equipment. The new facility is located near Starved Rock State Park and volunteers are needed to help unload semi-trailers and assist with organizing the warehouse. If you can commit to one full day of volunteer time during the week of August 22, we can use your help!

• North Aurora SDA Community Farmer’s Market on Sunday, 08/28
  • Join us for our inaugural North Aurora Seventh-day Adventist Community Farmer’s Market on Sunday, August 28th from 9:00am-3:00pm at 950 Mooseheart Road, North Aurora, IL 60542.
  • We will have vendors selling all types of garden fresh produce and many other items. Prepared food sale will offer many delicious vegetarian and vegan options.

  • Bounce house for children and soccer games (see our previous announcement) for adults and kids will be held. Free admission. Adult and young adult teams soccer teams should have 11 + players. Contact Gladys Gumban by 08/21 at (630) 400-4410 if you’re interested in signing up.
