Hinsdale Fil-Am SDA Church’s In-Person worship is OPEN this Saturday, 11/05/22! Restrooms and sabbath school classes are open for everyone to use. Our pastoral and facilities teams have been working hard to solve our flooding problem. While we have not fully repaired and renovated the hallway and rooms, we have provided a temporary solution so that we can worship together this week (Joel Guerra, one of our elders, and his team painted the floors. Thank you!). Please do not mind the temporary aesthetic mess as we seek to resolve this issue quickly.

• Adventurers Induction at 2pm! We have Adventurer’s Induction this Sabbath at 2pm. Please join us at Hinsdale Fil-Am Church to support our kiddos!
  
• Pathfinder Can Collecting at 2pm! The entire club will be going out to the surrounding neighborhood to collect non-perishable food items for the needy. For more information contact filamchallengers@gmail.com. *NOTE: 2pm is the confirmed time, not 2:30pm*

• Thanksgiving Pie Give-Away! YOU are invited to help us bless our neighbors with Thanksgiving pies. This is the time of year where our church family comes together to show God’s love in this small way to people around. Sign up here or scan QR code below by November 13 for pick up pies right after church on November 20 and connect with a neighbor.

IL Conference Announcements

• Part-Time Art Teacher Wanted! Hinsdale Adventist Academy (HAA) is seeking a part-time Art Teacher to teach art (and possibly photography) to middle and high school  students.  Applicants must enjoy working with students and possess a willingness to serve others. The ideal candidate is able to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment, possess a growth mindset, and inspire students to express the beauty of God’s creation through their own artistic representations. • Music Concert at Rockford SDA Church. Rockford SDA Church will have a concert by Matt and Josie Minikus for Sabbath service on November 19. Their music is a reverent, contemporary folk blend of vocals, guitar, piano, and a variety of other instruments. As songwriters, they are passionate about writing meaningful, thought-provoking lyrics and beautiful melodies. Through their music and stories they seek to help others peer a little deeper into the unfathomable love of God—a love they have personally encountered and been drawn by.
